Round 1

This week I started my boxing training. I had this in mind a long time ago but I just cannot find time to make it happen. I enrolled in a small gym in Quezon City whose ambiance is a "cowboy" style place which is more hard core! These people take their boxing seriously like its their way of life.

Don't get me wrong, I am not doing this to pick fights and brag. I'm doing this to lose weight and try something new. I'm done with fighting people. It's all in the past. I was very hard headed as a kid. Now, I am more of a LOVER than a FIGHTER! hahaha!

I don't want to be Pacquiao who will risk getting his face shattered in order to get commercial deals, more money for gambling and help out the country. I don't need that shit! If ever I will, then I would do it in other ways. Ways thhat will not only benefit me, but benefit people around me.

In what ways, well as of the moment, I don't know yet. But I will get there.I'm quite positive with the idea.

Going back to boxing. On my first day, the training is a bit light but when I woke up the next day I found it hard to get out of my comfortable bed. hahaha! I was late for work! Damn!!! Then I realized how battered my entire body was. It was worse than my first day in the gym. The ironic thing is, I spent 2.5 hoours in the gym on my first day while I only spent 1.5 hours boxing.

Last Wednesday, I came back for day 2. The training was more intense and my body was hurt again. When I woke up Thursday morning, I had a harder time getting out of bed but I was not late anymore. I trained for 45 minutes but felt like I was training for 4 hours. My fists were swelling and my body was tired. So tired that I stayed outside the gym for a while before driving home.

Later tonight, before going to an office party, I'll go boxing first. You might think that I am crazy with the way my 1st 2 sessions were. But I made a committment to myself and to my trainers. I had broken my word before and it will NEVER EVER happen AGAIN!!!

Crocodile Guy and Paris Hilton

The guy from Discovery Channel, Crocodile Hunter, was killed by a stingray. It's not a good news yet its ironic. Imagine his escapades. He handled crocodiles, snakes and more ferocious animals and he still lives. But not today. Its weird. But hence, since its not his forte, shit happens. I'm not a fan but its sad so hear such news...

"That's Hot!" Say it again and your ass will be sued by the hotel heiress Paris Hilton. Apparently she registered the catch phrase in the IP office somewhere. Why? I just don't see the point. Then again maybe she does not know what to do with all that dough.

Anyway, I have not said that catch phrase... I'll just look at her picture and say,,, Damn she's hot! hehehe...

Being the Brand

My boss was in ANC last week. Half Moon Bibingcrepe was featured in Pia Hontiveros' show. He always kept on telling us, "Be the Brand!" In this case he did. As you can see, he's half bald. Similar to the Half Moon.

This guys sets an example for all of us. When you want people to believe you, you must do it first and show them that you can back up your word!

People may raise eyebrows on what he did. They may think he's crazy or something. Well for those who do, its GUTS!!!

I'm not doing this to kiss ass or something. I am sharing this to everyone who wants to lead. Practice what you preach. Believe in your gut and be not afraid to be unique!

"Wanna hug it out? Let's Hug It Out Bitch!"

A few weeks ago I started to watch Entourage. A series in HBO. I was entertained with the way the story went along. It is the Sex in the City for men. Enough said. What's my point?

My point is one of the characters, Ari is the shark-like agent that handles Vince Chase (Adrian Grenier) a movie star that carries his crew everywhere, has this line that is like that of Paris Hilton's. Paris recently patented her quote "That's Hot!"(http://www.thespeciousreport.com/2005/05050217paris_hilton.html). Aris line is this... "Wanna hug it out? Let's Hug It Out Bitch!" and it paved way for this new series to be peopular. In less than a year's time, Entourage is a hit and its a marketing that worked for HBO. Why US Dream Team Lost

Why did US lose again??? LeBron, D-Wade, Melo why? I'll tell you why! for those who play the game and follow the game, relying on the outside shot is a no no!!! Sure you may win a lot but when the time comes and you throw blanks, you're in deep trouble. And that's exactly what happened in the game against Greece.

Besides the fact that they rely on threes, they have a very small frontline. These forwards and centers may be good, but not good enough! They need size and presence down low. They should have gotten the KG type. Yeah yeah so they did not play for numerous reasons but if given "an offer that cannot be refused", then they might have played.

If they will play like these the next tournaments, I will put my money on the Europeans to beat their asses again and again and again!
