Troubleshooting

This is what my uncle is doing right now. Effective today he will be reassigned. This is also what I am about to do.

Well... Nothing is certain yet. What is happening now is like what has happened a few days ago. A few days ago, broadsheets featured him that he will be transfered. No one confirmed nor deny.

Now its official for him... As for me, I don't know my calling, yet. I will explore my options if any.

He's troubleshooting another department. As for me I don't know what I'll troubleshoot. A project or something with regards to my current stature.

Nothing is certain. If you ask me 1 year ago what I plan to do, I can give you an answer without twitching my eyes. But if you ask me now, I do not know already. I don't know what is in store for me. All I know is, I will live my life a day at a time.

I've been to places, got setbacks, got bigger setbacks, got experiences, got learnings, got redemptions, got wider networks, got older by a year. Well almost a year.

A lot of loose ends that needs troubleshooting. What will happen? Let's just wait and see...

The DLSU-ADMU UAAP Rivalry

Last Thursday, Araneta Coliseum was once again rocked by 2 schools that just can't get enough of each other. Tickets are again selling like pancakes and flooded by green and blue colors. The game was intense and close. It needed an extra period just to have an outcome. Sadly, Ateneo won.

A few days ago, DLSU filled a protest on the game and contested that there are 2 foreign players that played at the same time. It was due to a technicality. I don't think those 2 players are key players and thus would affect the outcome of the game. At the end it was Chris Tiu and Jai Reyes who mattered and not those players who were mentioned in the broadsheets. I haven't even heard of these players who were involved anyway.

True enough they violated a rule, true enough it may affect the team standings but I am confident enough that DLSU lost a good game and will bounce back. Just like the run last Sunday against UST. That game was lost. DLSU lacked the energy, heart and desire to win the game against ADMU. They simply wanted it more.

Play on! Recover lost ground. Stop whining. Focus on how to bounce back and prove that La Salle is hungry, a force to contend with, and will go all the way and capture lost glory.

A lot was said. A lot were told. But action was lacking.

Ateneo, wait for the second round! It will be a hell of a fight. La Salle, prove that you are worthy! Prove to the school, to the community, to the Philippines and to all those who doubted that you want the crown and want it badly!

When People Do Not Talk

My friend was having trouble the past few days. He works for a universal bank here in the Philippines. He had troubles adjusting to the system. A few days ago, he was asked to resign. The HR told him that he has 2 options, resign or wait until his 6th month and he will not be regularized.

I told him in order to save his 201, that he should resign now. This led to our numerous drinking sessions and long conversations.

I got a call from him a few minutes ago as he tendered his resignation. I was supposed to call him since one of our closest friends arrived from China and there is a small get together later tonight. Then, he told me that his superiors were shocked that he tendered his resignation. The high official told him that what he knew was he will give my friend a suspension and then later evaluate his performance.

There is a miscommunication within the middle managers and the HR. The company says there are problems with my friend's performance. This was true. Though there is inconsistency with their statements, it shows that there are bigger problems above him.

If I were him, if they tell him that he should stay and there was a mistake, I would still leave. I don't like to work in an organization where people do not talk and people do not listen.

What's your F*ckin' Excuse?

I was out with my friends last night. It was something unplanned. People called, texted and there we were. In Marina, in Greenhills. We took advantage of their promo. Php 10.00 per bottle from 10-11 PM, Php 20 from 11-12...

We called a lot of people. Some people I have not seen for more than 2, 3, 4, and 5 years. A lot of them did not make it. Some are busy some are not answering. But there is this crazy friend of ours that is highly motivated! HE WENT TO THE PLACE USING THEIR DELIVERY TRUCK!!!

He made our night fun!

What is my point? People always say shoot, yeah, yes. But only a few step up to the plate and really mean it.

Sure people say that promises are meant to be broken. Than plans are there not to be followed. That white lies are acceptable.

How about you? What's your f*ckin' excuse?
